Name of Project: Business Service Provider for Resilience and Inclusion through Investment for Sustainable Agrikultura (RIISA)
MEDA Organization Philippines, Inc. contracted AdDU-ISEDI in April 2025 as its’ Business Service Provider for the project called Resilience and Inclusion through Investment for Sustainable Agrikultura (RIISA) Initiative. The project was implemented in collaboration with market system actors: Davao City Cacao Industry Development Council (DCCIDC) and Davao Region Cacao Industry Development Council (DRCIDC) in the delivery of the following deliverables to wit: Manual on the adoption of Cacao Regenerative Farming integrating Gender- Environment, Social and Governance (G-ESG); Report on four (4) training activities on the application of G-ESG- Integrated Best Practice on Cacao Regenerative Farming; G-ESG Integrated Training Modules on Chocolate Making and other Value Adding processes; and: G-ESG Integrated Manual on Cacao Grove Shared Business Service Facility.
- Starting April until December 2025, ISEDI coordinated with the DCCIDC and DRCIDC in the achievement of the deliverables such as : a handbook on Cacao Regenerative Farming System (CRFS) incorporating/integrating the G-ESG principles. The handbook became a guide on the conduct of the application / actual demonstration of G-ESG Integrated CRFS Training conducted in 4 provinces with the Davao de Oro Cacao Council Officers and Members in August 28-29, 2025, Davao City Cacao Council Officers and Members in September 30, 2025 an, Davao del Norte Cacao Council Officers and Members in October 17, 2025 and Davao Oriental Cacao Council Officers and Members in October 24, 2025; ISEDI submitted 4 Post Activity Reports on actual field demonstration training; and facilitated the workshop in December 6 to craft the Manual on the Cacao Grove Shared Service Program as re–termed by Ms. Lizabel Holganza, DCCIDC officer and recommended for approval by Mr. Roderick Valones, MEDA Deputy-Country Director.
- To date, the remaining deliverables of ISEDI include crafting of modules on chocolate making with an additional of 2 value -added processes and manual on cacao grove shared service program (CGSSP)
Name of Project: TA-10009 REG: Accelerating Climate Resilience in Agriculture, Natural Resources and the Environment – 5 CCAP SP3 – Climate Resilient Ecosystems (55268-002) on the conduct of Value Chain Study on 3 Commodities: Rubber, Falcata and Bamboo
The Pacific Rim Innovation and Management Exponents, Inc. (PRIMEX) engaged Ateneo de Davao University, Institute for Socio-Economic Developments Initiatives (AdDU-ISEDI) last July 24, 2025 to perform a Forest Products Value Chain Mapping for the Asian Development Bank (ADB)-funded TA-10009 REG: Accelerating Climate Resilience in Agriculture, Natural Resources and the Environment – 5 CCAP SP3 – Climate Resilient Ecosystems (55268-002).
- Starting August until December 2025, ISEDI’s activities and deliverables were: the submission, presentation and approval of Inception Report; submission of monthly progress reports as required by the lead consultant of PRIMEX Inc.; project orientation of researchers, deployment to project site and conduct of individual survey, key informants interview to market players and focus group discussions to CBFMA/CADT holders; survey uploading, cleaning, consolidation/tabulation and processing to come –up with value chain mapping of 3 commodities (Rubber, Falcata and Bamboo) and conduct of writeshop activity for the value chain repor.
- To date, the drafting of final report of the value chain study is still on process including the technical manual required for the project.
